Al Hammam Traditional Baths was created to bring the authentic hammam ritual back to life through a refined wellness experience inspired by the timeless tradition of the Turkish bath.

Our story began in 2009 in Chania, Crete, in the heart of the Old Venetian Harbour, very close to the remains of the city’s historic Turkish hammam. There, Al Hammam reintroduced the atmosphere, ritual and social character of the traditional hammam in a spacious, elegant setting designed for relaxation, body care and well-being.

Following the success of Al Hammam Chania, we brought the same authentic hammam experience to Athens, in Plaka, under the Acropolis and just a short distance from the city’s famous historical bathhouses. Today, Al Hammam Traditional Baths welcomes guests in two unique locations in Greece: Chania Old Venetian Harbour and Athens Plaka, under the Acropolis.
